Scribble Skirmish is a blog dedicated to art challenges. The theme of the challenges will range anywhere from creature design to interior design, from seascapes to forest villages. The rules are:

Bernini's david
My favorite dipiction of David. One of my favorite pieces of art in general. I love the dynamic pose as opposed to the traditional static pose you see sculptors depicting david in.
Anyways, just a sketch of the body. No real detail yet.
I can tell that this is an early sketch of Bernini's David. I have always loved the movement and flow of energy in the statue. That, probably more than lighting/shading, is the soul of the piece. You've done well capturing the larger forms of David, and I look forward to seeing it complete! Good start so far.
