JL Challenge #2-- Fear
I don't have much to show for half-time (I do this every time). This was the first day I had time to work on it, but I do have a concept. I'm working on a torture chamber. I'll post something again on Wednesday. I should have tons more done by then.

Futuristic Monarch
well... finished... sorta :'/
i wanted to do color but, not enough time so, i added a little value where i saw it necessary. i ATTEMPTED to do an upward angle but, it didnt go so well. and, once again, i tried to play with line weights a bit. anyways... THE NEXT SUBJECT FOR THIS BLOG IS 'FEAR'.

JL Challenge #2-- Futuristic Monarch
I failed to finish the challenge for this week. I didn't have enough time for tone, color, or to finish the throne (oh, yeah... she's defying gravity right now) but I think I'll try and finish this one later. The idea is to have one of her mechanical bees whispering in her ear.
Challenge #2 Futuristic Monarch
I had a good amount of time to work on my challenge this week. Had some good pinspiration boards to draw from; that's always helpful.

JaiaLeia Crystal City Challenge #1
This was a tough challenge for a few reasons, but I like that it has forced me to become more comfortable with Painter and Photoshop and, well, color in general. After working mostly with B&W and running away from any perspective project, this was pretty fun.
This is where I am so far with the project. This isn't by any means complete, but that was part of the challenge ^^.

Progress, more or less...
this is where the project is as of now. i kinda realized since i have no way of coloring it that, its kinda pointless to go any further with it. i didnt do too much shading (since i intended to color it) but, i played around with line weights a little, which turned out to be challenging.

JaiaLeia Update
I wasn't able to do much until tonight, so I finally got in an idea of what I want for my concept of Crystal City. I wanted something a little dirty, kind of glitzy, but framed like a typical photo taken by an amateur with a point and shoot-- kind of like the pictures you'd get if you went to the Eiffel Tower, but with a futuristic city in the background. I also changed the background.

Crystal City Rough Draft
Value comp. Definitely thinking I'm gonna add more to the middleground. But SO far The perspective is lookin alright, which is more than I can ask for. LOL
-Ronnibear
Ok.... so, i posted this at 11:30ish but posted in the wrong section so...um... yeah. i gotta get the hang of this lol... anyways, im not sure if we're supposed to make this look all crisp and stuffs but, this is my 'CRYSTAL CITY' in progress. i hope its not too confusing since its not exactly done yet but, the direction im heading in is: the crystals themselves will be the home to ants (not drawn in yet) and, the crystals will be at home in someones mouth (as their teeth). i have a LOT more rendering to do then, hopefully i can do color. but, im a bit rust a dust with all this drawing stuff or "draw-a-wing" (as ms. maggie wouldve said) LOL.....
